About the Board

Advancing Wisconsin's Cranberry Industry

The Wisconsin Cranberry Board is a grower-led organization dedicated to strengthening the state's cranberry industry through strategic investments and collaborative partnerships.

Our Mission

The Wisconsin Cranberry Board's mission is to support and advance Wisconsin's cranberry industry through strategic investments in research, promotion, and education that benefit growers and strengthen the industry's long-term success.

Our Purpose

The Wisconsin Cranberry Board exists to responsibly invest grower assessment funds in programs and initiatives that support a competitive, sustainable, and resilient cranberry industry in Wisconsin.

Specifically, the Board:

  • Funds research that improves production practices, sustainability, and industry knowledge
  • Supports promotion and education efforts that build understanding and demand for cranberries
  • Encourages innovation and long-term planning to strengthen the future of the industry
  • Operates under state statute and is guided by a board of Wisconsin cranberry growers

Funding Structure

The Wisconsin Cranberry Board is funded through a grower assessment collected on each barrel of cranberries produced in Wisconsin. For the 2025 growing season, board members unanimously voted to increase the assessment rate to 25 cents per barrel, bolstering support for current and future priorities.
